I selected my Cause and Effect Essay because I felt that it truly demonstrated my ability to create an analysis on various literary pieces. For example, I showed howthe different parts of separate literary works connected because they all centered around the impact of British colonialism and imperialism.In other words since I was able to relate the different pieces together, I showed how I provide excellent analysis of literature. Additionally, a strength I showed was able to effectively prove my point by providing enough evidence by utilizing direct quotes from the literary pieces. Also, a weakness I possessed was repetition of he words colony, imperialism ,and Great Britain. Although, my topic centered on British imperialism, I know I could have improved my word choice. In all, I chose my Cause and Effect essay because it showed the I can provide amazing analysis on various literary works.
